About the Role

As a Junior Software Engineer in the FanDuel Trading Solutions team, you will work as part of a cross functional team that develops, deploys, and supports its own projects and outcomes. Working alongside our most senior engineers you will learn the software development lifecycle, work on both big and small projects and refine and develop your own technical and commercial skills, all as part of a structured mentor program.

About You

As a tertiary qualified software engineer, you are a well-rounded, pragmatic, and considered individual with a passion for software development. With 1-2 years professional work experience you will be ready to join a collaborative culture where every Engineer has a real impact. Working in a fast paced and high energy environment will drive your ambition to learn and excel as a software engineer.

  • You will have limited experience in Object Oriented language such as .NET Core or Java, development, debugging and testing of solutions (unit & integration), Modern source control systems and CI/CD - Continuous Delivery (Jenkins, Docker).
  • Understanding of cloud based development (AWS, cloudwatch, x-ray, EC2, RDS).
  • Exposure to Event driven architecture and multithreading (Kafka)
  • Theoretical understanding of product, platform & system lifecycles
  • Exposure to classic & modern software development and delivery techniques
