The Team

Leading a team responsible for the Media planning and buying related activities aimed at maximising effective brand awareness to drive new customer acquisition and existing customer retention.

The Role

As the General Manager for Media your role will form part of the Chief Marketing Officer Leadership Team, along with GM Marketing, Head of Marketing Technology & Head of Customer Engagement. Please note this is a 9 month Maternity leave cover.

In your new role, you will be responsible for functions including, Traditional, Digital and Search Media and will work closely with other key functions such as Marketing Technology. Additionally, ypu will be directly accountable for driving new customer acquisition and supporting the Customer Engagement and Revenue team on various retention initiatives.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Providing input as part of the Leadership team in formulating and executing the organisation's overall strategy
  • Ensuring the implementation of Media Strategy remains in alignment with other departments and in accordance with relevant quality, project and change management metrics
  • Developing and implementing operational plans within the division that execute the organisation's overall Marketing and Business strategy
  • Effectively plan and prioritise program of work to ensure efficient delivery
  • Focus on innovation in creating new and exciting ways to drive new customer acquisition through stress testing our media mix and challenging our people to think differently.
  • Understand our customer base, and key behaviours of customers across the value tiers

  • Create the environment where team members are empowered to act decisively as well as mentor and coach people managers.

You

You’re an inspirational and effective coach; a thought leader who inspires, motivates people towards a common goal and will have proven experience in leading a high performing multi-functional team;

  • Strategic and visionary approach to planning and management
  • Ability to drive change, efficiencies whilst balancing commercial reality
  • Strong financial literacy
  • Ability to use detailed data and analysis to draw insights and make effective and timely decisions
  • Identify and understand target audiences and ensure consumer metrics (e.g. awareness) peak around key customer acquisition periods
  • Transfer Digital and Strategic knowledge across to stakeholders within the Sportsbet business.
