This role will shape and lead Sportsbet Technology on this journey. 

About the role

This is a senior leadership position within our Planning and Architecture team with primary accountability for driving and delivering transformational change to the processes and ways of working that enable Sportsbet to deliver customer products, services and experiences.

You will be a core member of the Planning and Architecture Leadership Team (a leader of leaders) and Technology Extended Leadership team, with accountability for collaborating with a broader group of senior leaders to drive strategic change, people engagement and positive cultural influence.

Key responsibilities also include:

  • Define a clear scope of Technology processes and ways of working that require revision and change as a result of the Workforce strategy – prioritise and sequence based on time drivers, value and impact
  • Undertake change impact assessments across key roles within Technology to determine the impact of the Workforce program
  • Lead and facilitate cross functional working groups to identify, document and develop out the key changes required to ways of working
  • Create and implement a change and communication plan that articulated “the why”, “the what” and “the how” for Technology’s ways of working changes
  • Engage with stakeholders across Sportsbet to identify the impacts of ways of workings changes within Technology on other parts of the organisation
  • Support non Technology departments to make the changes necessary to their ways of working to align changes to Technology processes
  • Be a proactive member and leader within the broader Technology ELT and undertake initiatives to improve the working environment and capabilities across Technology as a whole

About You

We’re looking for a highly motivated and accomplished Technology Leader, with proven leadership experience, who has successfully led significant Technology initiatives that have delivered broad reaching transformational change in a large-scale enterprise environment.

You value and encourage other’s expertise, efforts and ideas and provide support when things don’t always go as planned.

You have excellent problem solving and decision-making skills, are a skilled negotiator, and are able to successfully move within an ambiguous, fast- paced, constantly changing environment.

Key skills also include:

  • Experience and proven knowledge in a range of delivery and operational methodologies and approaches (DevOps, Agile, Lean) with expertise in methodologies used at Sportsbet
  • Experience and proven knowledge in process improvement methodologies
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Adept at motivating and influencing to achieve outcomes through others
  • Skilled planning and execution skills, driving delivery and success within your team
  • Strategic and tactical in orientation and approach
