About the Role

There’s no better time to join Sportsbet than now. As a Racing Trader, you’ll be part of the team that brings the energy, strategy, and thrill of racing to life.

This isn’t your standard office job. You’ll work with live markets, real-time data, and some of the country’s most iconic racing events. But you won’t be doing it alone, you’ll be backed by a supportive, collaborative team, expert training, and a culture where innovation, inclusion, and high performance go hand in hand.

What You’ll Do

• Trade High-Profile Events: Manage pricing and trading for key race meetings, balancing precision with pace across all three codes – thoroughbreds, greyhounds, and harness.
• Contribute Strategy: Help execute and evolve our trading strategies, using both market insight and customer behaviour data.
• Optimise Tools & Models: Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to improve trading models and internal systems.
• Support & Collaborate: Partner closely with trading operators and the broader trading team to ensure smooth operations and shared learning.
• Champion Performance: Meet trading KPIs, stay composed under pressure, and deliver strong results across a wide range of racing events.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who combines a passion for numbers with a calm, analytical and collaborative approach.

You don’t need to come from a wagering background so if you have a sharp analytical mindset, understand how financial markets operate or just love the trackside buzz and want to break into the industry, this could be your moment.

You might be a great fit if you:

• Are naturally curious and strategic, and always looking for ways to improve or innovate
• Have a strong interest in how markets operate or solid knowledge of the racing industry (or are keen to learn)
• Can manage multiple tasks and make confident decisions in high-paced situations
• Bring experience with analytical tools or trading platforms (or are keen to learn)
• Communicate well and enjoy working with a wide variety of people
• Value collaboration, inclusion, and creating a positive team environment
