About the role

As a QA Automation Engineer in the FanDuel team, you will work as part of an Agile team that develops, deploys, and supports its own projects and outcomes. You will be able to develop and maintain automation testing framework(s) from scratch, design test strategies, test plans, and test cases, and perform manual, and exploratory testing as appropriate. You will also proactively lead, guide and influence the team through big and small projects using your technical expertise and familiarity of continuous testing best practices within a regulated environment. You will also contribute to the readiness of work including discovery, technical design, story articulation, acceptance criteria, and effort estimations.

We use many of the latest technologies, practices, and tools, so you will need to be at ease with constantly learning new tools and techniques along with running proof of concept evaluations to keep us in the game and with a leading edge.

About You

As an experienced QA Automation Engineer, you will have demonstrated experience in automation frameworks, test strategy development, and microservices, and contract testing methodologies. Mentoring and coaching will be part of your current role and you will thrive in identifying problems, proposing solutions, and working collaboratively to deliver software and process enhancements for the team.

We are looking for:

• Demonstrated experience in testing and developing QA automation framework/solution design and implementation, including framework selection and adoption from scratch
• Demonstrated experience in building automation regression suite to ensure quick and safe release to Production.
• Demonstrated experience in functional, integration & UX testing over multiple system layers.
• Working knowledge of observability tools such as SumoLogic, CloudWatch, AWS X-ray, Datadog etc
• Good understanding of the OpenAPI Specification
• Experience in Load testing using K6 or similar tools
• Experience in End-to-end testing with Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium
• Experience with mocking test data for distributed microservice-based architecture, and contract testing methodologies such as PACT
• Experience or good working knowledge of either Java, C# (ASP.NET) or Javascript
