About The Role

Reporting into the General Manager, Global Betting Platform (GBP), you will ensure AI becomes a delivery accelerator within GBP. By providing single point accountability, disciplined prioritisation and embedded execution, this role ensures AI directly contributes to faster, safer and higher quality GBP outcomes.

The role is accountable for establishing and leading the GBP AI Hub, with end‑to‑end ownership for defining and executing an AI enablement roadmap that materially improves delivery planning, governance, quality, and pace across GBP program.

You will ensure AI is applied practically and relentlessly to the hardest delivery problems facing GBP, accelerating discovery, improving planning confidence, reducing rework and risk, and ultimately shortening overall program timelines.

As a senior member of the GBP program leadership team, the role bridges strategy and execution, identifying high‑value AI opportunities, prioritising them against program constraints, and ensuring they are embedded into day‑to‑day delivery rather than delivered as standalone tools or one‑off experiments.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Identify where AI can most effectively improve planning accuracy, scope clarity, sequencing, dependency management and governance across the delivery lifecycle.
  • Ensure alignment with Sportsbet’s SDLC, delivery governance and architectural standards, and lead continuous improvement and change to SDLC ways of working and practices to support an AI‑enabled future.
  • Lead the identification, design and scaling of AI solutions that accelerate discovery, build, integration, testing and migration activities across GBP.
  • Influence delivery leaders to adopt AI‑enabled ways of working, shifting behaviours from manual, reactive delivery to AI‑augmented, data‑driven execution.
  • Set goals with the team consistent with the performance framework which promote individual, team and organisational outcomes.
  • Ensure team members receive regular feedback via 1:1s and other conversations.

About You

While we are big on development and offer on the job training, we want to set you up for success. Along with a great attitude, it would be ideal that you have:

  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and shaping new operating models.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influence at senior levels.
  • Ability to bridge technical, delivery and commercial perspectives.
  • Senior leadership experience in complex technology delivery programs, ideally involving large‑scale platform transformation.
  • Demonstrated experience applying AI or advanced analytics to materially improve delivery outcomes, planning, quality or risk management.
  • Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycles, delivery governance, and the practical constraints of large programs.

The Perks

We work hard and play hard, so along with a competitive salary and generous performance-based bonus for permanent staff members, here’s some of our other perks:
