About the role

The Machine Learning Ops Engineer is a key role within Data Platforms, responsible for delivering innovative and sustainable data driven solutions to contributing to Sportsbet a competitive advantage in the Machine Learning domain.

This is an exciting opportunity support our industry leading Data Science team, delivering cutting edge customer facing ML models and optimising their performance, along with delivering key components back into our international Flutter brands for wider use.

Key responsibilities include:

Project Delivery:

• Implement and leverage Monitoring tools to track model accuracy, drift and data quality
• Champion Machine Learning Best practices across the business
• Set up necessary feature pipelines, CI/CD pipelines, adding appropriate tests for your services
• Leading estimation of delivery effort and timeline for taking Machine Learning solutions to production
• Designing repeatable standardised patterns for Machine Learning solution delivery
• Identify gaps and implement best practices across operational processes, DevOps, deployments, Feature engineering, security and vulnerabilities etc.
• Develop and socialise patterns and standards for use across the organisation
• Innovate and challenge the status quo by introducing new ideas and concepts to the team

Platform Operations:

• Optimise models / solutions to ensure we support our service levels and minimise spend.
• Support what we build - taking ownership of production issues, working with stakeholders through to resolution.
• Identifying and managing ML operational risks.
• Performance tuning and optimisation across our platforms to ensure optimal usage of resources.

About You

• Solid development experience in a cloud first, data centric organization
• Solid software development experience preferably Python, Java
• Experience in building and maintaining solutions running in production environments at scale
• Experience with Feature Engineering and ML concepts and delivery
