About The Role

At Sportsbet, we're committed to providing our customers with a fast, easy, and secure transaction experience. As the market leader, we’re seeking a Payments Performance Lead to manage our online payment methods and ensure they’re optimised and compliant.

This role is key in managing vendor relationships, delivering insightful reporting and analysis, and driving improvements across payment systems. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners to enhance the customer payment experience and maintain industry compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and optimising payment methods for Sportsbet customers.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with payment vendors, banks, and stakeholders.
  • Providing reporting and data analysis to drive performance and commercial improvements.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  • Supporting operational excellence within the Specialist Operations team.

About You

You’re a results-driven professional with 1-3 years of experience in a payments-related role, and you understand both the Australian and international payments landscape. You have strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with experience using tools like PowerBI to analyse complex data and identify trends.

Your ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical teams makes you a great collaborator. You’re adaptable, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.

To succeed in this role:

  • You are commercial oriented, a self-starter, with a proven track record of providing problem-solving leadership
  • Possess excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation, and client / partner relationship skills
  • You know what to prioritize, creatively solve complex problems, and use data to make decisions
  • Enjoy analysing complex sets of data to optimise payments and improve customer experience
  • You pick up on technical things quickly, enjoy learning new skills and knowledge, and are adept at staying ahead of the curve on relevant industry, company, product, or technical knowledge
  • You have a deep level of knowledge about how businesses work, keep up with relevant practices and trends, and know the competition
