About the role

Here at Sportsbet our Principal Engineers play a key leadership role in influencing the direction of shared capabilities, development practices and standards across the entire organization. Working with development teams to design and implement best practices for our new and existing platforms, our Principal Engineers take ownership of technology & tooling for effective and innovative product development.

About You

We’re looking for highly motivated individual, passionate, with excellent stakeholder engagement who will be empowered to innovate, coordinate and collaborate across the entire services community at Sportsbet. Join us and develop solutions to a wide variety of interesting and challenging engineering problems, guaranteeing the health of Sportsbet’s most valuable customer platforms.

Key requirements include:

• Provide technical leadership in terms of design and adoption of solution architectures, coding expertise, governance best practices and subject matter expertise
• Break complex problems into essential parts, drawing logical conclusions based on the evidence and data, clearly articulating the process and reasoning to upskills others
• Work closely with Enterprise Architecture to ensure alignment to broader Technology Strategy.
• Understand the long-term implications of technical decisions and can prioritize initiatives accordingly to drive organizational success.
• Previous experience developing and supporting scalable, maintainable, and performance-critical software
• Previous experience in multiple technical domains with a demonstrated ability to influence design and delivery of complex technical solutions
