About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing platform team focused on evolving and scaling Sportsbet’s cloud and AI capabilities. Reporting into the Platform Manager – Cloud, you will play a key role in designing, building, and operating Sportsbet’s emerging AI Platforms.

You will work closely with cloud engineers, architects, and application teams on core platform initiatives spanning cloud architecture, automation, governance, and cost optimisation. With cloud and AI as the primary focus, you will help define and implement secure, scalable AI platform architectures and patterns using AWS cloud services and AI/ML products.

You will also drive efficiency by collaborating cross-functionally to embed AI capabilities into core systems and workflows, minimising duplicated effort and accelerating delivery across teams. Through reusable solution architectures, automation, and platform-first thinking, you will help lift overall cloud and AI maturity across the organisation.

In addition, you will mentor and support other engineers, promote modern engineering practices, and champion cloud-native and AI-first approaches while maintaining a strong focus on operational excellence, cost optimisation, and long-term platform sustainability.

About You

While we are big on development and offer on the job training, we want to set you up for success. Along with a great attitude, it would be ideal that you have:

• Deep expertise in AWS cloud services, (IaC, Cloud networking, security etc.) with strong hands-on experience in AI and ML.
• Proven experience architecting and deploying AI-centric architectures in the cloud, including scalable, secure, and cost-optimised solutions.
• Deep code development expertise in Python, with experience integrating AI services via APIs.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to communicate with influence.
• Passionate about coaching and mentoring others.
• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
