About The Role

Sportsbet is on a mission to become a world-class betting and wagering business, trusted by all our stakeholders. We're looking for passionate Second Line team members to play a key role in achieving this vision.

In this role:

  • Shape a Trusted Environment: Collaborate with the department teams to ensure Sportsbet manages its operational risk profile effectively by implementing efficient controls. You'll help us maintain a strong reputation and secure operating environment.
  • Navigate the Regulatory Landscape: Ensure Sportsbet adheres to relevant compliance obligations and industry frameworks. This includes leveraging the expertise of the Flutter Entertainment Group, a leading NYSE listed company.
  • Drive Commercial Focus and Continuous Improvement: Support the design and implementation of efficient processes for risk and compliance management. You'll also contribute to insightful reporting on the effectiveness of our control environment, keeping leadership informed and enabling continuous improvement.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Drive the operationalisation of Sportsbet’s approach to Business Continuity Management by to ensure departments are conducting Business Impact Assessments and developing Business Continuity Plans in line with Flutter / Sportsbet frameworks.
  • Identify improvements to Sportsbet’s framework and tools in relation to Business Continuity and Crisis Management.
  • Maintain oversight of the dependencies between BCPs and Disaster Recovery parameters. Ensure any dependencies or vulnerabilities between the two frameworks are well understood and addressed.
  • Lead the second line team to collaborate with first line Technology and Cyber Security teams to provide oversight and challenge in relation to the management of technology and cyber risks and relevant compliance obligations across Sportsbet.
  • Ensure technology related obligations, risks and controls are identified, documented, assessed and assured on an ongoing basis in line with Sportsbet’s policies, frameworks and standards.
  • Identify improvement opportunities using insights derived from risk assessments, incidents and assurance testing, and work with colleagues to identify efficiencies within the control environment.

About You

  • Proven experience implementing and driving resilience programs across a digital business.
  • Hands-on experience managing risk across a variety of domains in particular technology and cyber risks.
  • Proven experience operating in highly regulated consumer-facing environments, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and technology frameworks.
  • Operationalising contemporary approaches to risk management in “digital” and multi-channel consumer businesses.
  • Ability to manage various level stakeholders in an ever-changing regulatory and business environment and navigating multiple key priorities.
  • Experience leading and developing a high performing team.
  • Experience in influencing outcomes and driving change and transformation.
  • Experience in operating in highly regulated industries.
