About The Role

As a Risk & Compliance Senior Specialist you will be the core personnel working with various stakeholders to implement and enforce an effective Risk & Compliance program of work and governing risk management for the Technology function at Sportsbet. Reporting into the Head of R&C – Technology, you will join a team of 3 and work with Technology, Business Ops, Legal, and Line 2 Risk and Compliance teams to provide technology risk advice and guidance, including risk and risk mitigation considerations relevant to the use of AI technologies.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintain a Technology Risk and controls register and respond appropriately to changes in the internal and external risk environment.
  • Provide guidance and supporting materials to partner 1st line risk team specialist to assist with assessment of technology-based risk and controls
  • Support the business in responding to operational risk and compliance incidents across Technology areas, including internal and external audits by conducting walkthrough of existing risk and controls and relevant test outcomes
  • Contribute to clear, decision‑useful reporting for executive leadership and risk forums to inform and drive effective risk outcomes.

 

About You

 

While we are big on development and offer on the job training, we want to set you up for success. Along with a great attitude, it would be ideal that you have:

 

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in technology risk management, compliance, governance, assurance roles
  • Exposure to working with control frameworks in operational environments utilising AI and other emerging technologies.
  • Ability to deliver assurance activities such as control testing, issue management and audit engagement
