At FanDuel, we believe great ideas can come from anyone. If you’re curious, collaborative, and love learning, you’ll fit right in.

“I came in with a love of sport, not a trading background. The support, training, and trust I’ve had here have changed my whole career path.” — Sara, Trading Team

About Us

As part of the Flutter Group, FanDuel is the premier gaming destination and market leader in the United States, with a Market Cap of over $35 billion USD and 20,000 employees globally.

We have offices in New York, Melbourne, California, Florida, New Jersey, Oregon, and Scotland, and we know that great ideas can come from anywhere, and anyone.

FanDuel Group is a subsidiary of Flutter Entertainment plc, the world's largest sports betting and gaming operator with a portfolio of globally recognized brands and traded on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: FLUT).

About The Role

As a US Sports Trader focused on the NBA, you'll play a key role in creating, pricing and managing markets for one of the world's leading sportsbooks. Working within a collaborative trading pod, you'll spend most of your time analysing games, researching teams and players, and setting markets that go live for customers. You'll manage the trading lifecycle from market creation through to live game trading, before handing operations across global teams. As markets mature, you'll also gain exposure to customer behaviour analysis and risk management, helping ensure pricing quality and an outstanding customer experience.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Create, monitor and manage pre-match and live NBA markets, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing.
  • Analyse games, player performance, injury news and other market-moving information to make informed trading decisions.
  • Trade live events, adjusting markets and managing pricing throughout games.
  • Monitor customer behaviour, market confidence levels and liabilities to support effective risk management.
  • Collaborate with traders across regions, provide detailed handovers and contribute to continuous improvement of processes and tools.

About You

You're passionate about sport, particularly the NBA, with a strong understanding of teams, players and the stories shaping the competition. You enjoy working with numbers, analysing information and making decisions in a fast-paced environment. Curious, detail-oriented and highly motivated, you're comfortable learning new concepts and thrive when collaborating with others. Whether you already have trading experience or are looking to break into the industry, you're someone who loves solving problems and can remain calm and focused under pressure.

What You Will Bring
  • Genuine interest in the NBA, knowledge of players, teams and competition dynamics desirable but not essential
  • Excellent numerical and analytical thinking, with the ability to interpret data and make sound decisions quickly.
  • Strong attention to detail and a process-driven approach to work.
