About the Role:

We’re looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join the team on a fixed-term contract through to March 31 2026.

In this role, you'll be responsible for delivering accurate, compliant, and timely payroll services across our organisation. From managing pay runs and maintaining payroll records to supporting month-end reporting and driving process improvements, you'll play a key role in keeping things running smoothly.

You’ll work closely with stakeholders across Finance and People teams, providing trusted advice and support, and helping ensure we meet all legislative and statutory obligations.

This is a great opportunity to bring your payroll expertise into a supportive and fast-paced environment, where attention to detail, proactive thinking and a team-first attitude are key.

About You:

You’re a payroll all-rounder with a solid understanding of Australian payroll legislation and a keen eye for detail. You've had hands-on experience managing end-to-end payroll in a medium to large organisation and are confident navigating systems, spreadsheets, and compliance requirements.

You know how to juggle multiple deadlines without missing a beat, and you're the kind of person who picks up on the small stuff that others might miss. You’re also a clear communicator who can handle sensitive information with care and confidentiality.

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

• Have proven experience managing full-function payroll processes
• Know your way around payroll systems (Affinity experience a plus) and HRIS platforms like BambooHR
• Are confident with Excel and love a good spreadsheet
• Understand tax, super, and leave obligations
• Are organised, deadline-driven, and great at prioritising
• Enjoy solving problems and improving processes
• Work well both independently and as part of a collaborative team
