About Us
At Sportsbet, we’re united behind our purpose to “Bring Excitement to Life” for our 2 million customers (and growing!). We do this by over-delivering through our commitment to fun, challenging the status quo and living our values. As part of the Flutter Group, we’re a global player, but in Melbourne, Sydney and Darwin we’re a tight knit group of 1,300 teammates (of which over half are in our Tech and Data Science teams!).
We are a significant contributor to the Australian economy through racing and sporting codes and we are committed to having a positive impact in society by supporting our customers, our communities and our employees. Our commitment to responsible gambling is genuine and demonstrated through the wide range of responsible gambling initiatives and tools.
In 2023, we were a recipient of LinkedIn’s Top 25 Companies for our focus on career development and awarded the Top 10 Workplaces for Women through Work180. Our commitment to making Sportsbet the best place to work is never-ending.
Sportsbet is Australia’s leading online sports and racing wagering brand — and part of Flutter Entertainment, a FTSE100 and NYSE-listed global powerhouse. We operate in a fast-moving, highly regulated environment where great strategy really matters.
We’re looking for a Senior Strategy Manager to join us. This is a high-impact role for someone who loves solving complex problems, influencing senior leaders, and turning insight into action, all while working in a collaborative, supportive, and ambitious team.
About the Role
The Manager, Strategy Projects sits within the Strategy and Research team and is focused on framing and delivering strategic initiatives that address Sportsbet’s most important business challenges. Working closely with the Head of Strategy Projects, this role operates at the centre of the business, partnering with senior leaders across Sportsbet and the broader Flutter Group. You’ll combine structured problem solving, strong analytics, and stakeholder influence to drive high-impact outcomes in a fast-paced, highly regulated, digital-first environment.
Responsibilities:
- Own the framing, analysis, and recommendations for priority strategic projects
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of strategy initiatives, from problem definition through to decision and implementation support
- Apply quantitative and qualitative methods to solve complex business problems
- Play an emerging leadership role within cross-functional project teams spanning strategy, finance, analytics, product, and technology
- Deliver practical, commercially grounded solutions with clear executive buy-in
- Engage and influence senior stakeholders, including the CEO, leadership team, and extended leadership team
- Collaborate closely with the Strategy and Research team to deliver high-quality, sustainable outcomes
About You
You’re a highly capable strategy professional with a consulting toolkit and a strong bias toward impact. You’re comfortable operating in ambiguity, quickly structuring complex problems, and driving work forward through influence rather than authority. You communicate clearly, simplify complex ideas, and build alignment with senior leaders across the organisation. You balance strong analytical depth with commercial judgement, manage competing priorities effectively, and are motivated by solving the problems that matter most to the business.
The Perks
We work hard and play hard, so along with a competitive salary and generous performance-based bonus, here’s some of our other perks:
- 25 days annual leave (that’s right, a whole extra week!)
- Genuine flexible working policy with a $800 work from home office allowance
- Weekly concierge service including free massages, manicure/nail appointments – all onsite
- Development budget to send you to conferences, events, courses and other learning opportunities.
- End of trip facilities with an onsite table tennis and pool table
- Access to our Employee Assistance Program
- Industry leading Parental Leave support program with 26 weeks paid leave for Primary Carers and no wait time. We also have a progressive return to work benefit for your first 6 months back: come back for 3 days, get paid for 4; come back for 4 days, get paid for 5.
