About The Role

This is not a “sit back and review decks” kind of creative role. It’s for someone who lives and breathes social, understands the speed of culture, and knows how to turn a moment into something people can’t help but share. You’ll sit at the intersection of creativity, sport and entertainment - leading the charge on ideas that earn attention in crowded feeds and build real brand love.  As our Social Content Creative Director, you’ll shape and drive the social-first creative vision across our platforms (TikTok, YouTube, Instagram etc). From reactive, in-the-moment content to larger brand plays, you’ll lead the development of bold, distinctive work that feels native to each channel.

Reporting into the Head of Social Content and sitting within a wider team of 10+, you’ll lead 3-4 content creators and have a blended role being hands on in content creation as well as day to day creative leadership. With a focus on TikTok, you’ll ensure every idea, trend, video or campaign hits the mark in tone, timing and originality while staying unmistakably Sportsbet.

Responsibilities Include:

• Be the creative lead from idea through to execution where you shape ideas, scripts, visuals, formats and tone.
• Champion content that pushes boundaries while staying on brand for Sportsbet and relevant to the audience (eg. Gen Z)
• Design and produce social content, including video memes, photoshops, short edits, GIFs
• Confidently use tools like Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, CapCut, After Effects, Canva etc
• Ensure content aligns with wider campaigns, promos, or sporting events.

About You

You’ll live and breathe sport (particularly AFL) and digital culture and be the go‑to for taking raw ideas and shaping them into Sportsbet worthy executions that are funny, reactive and relevant. It’s fast‑paced, hands‑on and absolutely requires someone who can ideate at speed, direct shoots, finesse edits, write funny scripts and still deliver a meme before halftime.

• Proven experience leading or directing creative content in a social-first environment
• Ability to direct creatives, while still crafting content yourself with an eye for what’s trending in sport and online culture
• An innate sense of humour and timing. You know how to pull the right rein at the right
