About The Role
Reporting into the Head of Cyber, Governance Risk and Compliance, you will partner with our Technology, Assurance and business teams to assess and validate key SOX-relevant technology controls that support accurate and reliable financial reporting.
With the support of the SOX IT Compliance Lead, you will assess and validate critical technology risks and controls, support the successful delivery of ongoing audits, and drive the uplift and maturity of the control environment through targeted remediation initiatives. As the organisation advances its SOX compliance journey, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening and embedding sustainable control frameworks that support accurate and reliable financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in challenging existing ITGC and ITAC controls ensuring controls are practical, risk-based, and sustainable.
- Develop and maintain high-quality IT control documentation, ensuring that "audit-ready" standards are maintained consistently across the organisation.
- Support impact assessments for new initiatives by coordinating workshops, capturing SOX implications, and drafting control considerations for Lead approval.
- Prepare and quality-check evidence packages against agreed testing requirements; flag gaps early to reduce rework.
- Coordinate control walkthroughs and audit readiness sessions (scheduling, pre-reads, checklists, minutes/actions).
- Assist in developing and delivering targeted SOX awareness training and guidance to Technology teams.
About You
While we are big on development and offer on the job training, we want to set you up for success. Along with a great attitude, it would be ideal that you have:
- Proven experience in IT Risk, IT Audit, Technology Controls, or similar. SOX experience preferred.
- Experience with GRC Platforms such as Auditboard, Archer etc.
- Strong working knowledge of core ITGC domains (access, change, operations).
- Solid familiarity with COSO / COBIT concepts and how these map to practical, risk-based control expectations.
- Experience leading day-to-day ITGC audit execution.
- Experienced in managing relationships with external auditors, internal stakeholders, and Group-level functions to align on expectations and outcomes.
