About The Role
Reporting into the Head of Commercial, this role supports the identification, development, and delivery of new revenue initiatives across Sportsbet, from early concept through to pilot and launch. The role is execution‑focused and operates under the direction of senior leaders, providing structured analysis, coordination, and delivery support to ensure new initiatives progress efficiently, remain commercially disciplined, and are delivered to agreed timelines.
The successful candidate will manage a pipeline of new revenue opportunities, driving early-stage innovation projects from concept through feasibility assessment to potential delivery, while also prospecting for new ideas from external and internal stakeholders. It plays a critical role in translating strategic ideas into tangible, testable revenue outcomes.
Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct initial desktop research, market scans, and feasibility assessments to inform prioritisation decisions through commercial modelling.
- Assist in assessing strategic fit, customer relevance, regulatory considerations, and commercial viability of proposed initiatives.
- Support the identification of new revenue opportunities across core and adjacent categories, including early stage concept development as well as help prepare business cases, concept papers, and recommendation materials.
- Coordinate delivery inputs across cross functional teams including Product, Technology, Legal, Finance, Marketing, Risk, and Compliance.
- Attend weekly/monthly governance forums and working groups with materials, updates and pilot performance against agreed success metrics and objectives
- Maintain an up to date pipeline of new revenue initiatives, clearly documenting status, next steps, owners, and key dependencies.
About You
While we are big on development and offer industry training, we want to set you up for success. Along with a great attitude, it would be ideal that you have:
- Experience in strategy, commercial, product, innovation or consulting roles, ideally within a start-up or digital/technology focused business.
- Solid analytical skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous problems and synthesise insights clearly.
- Strong interest in innovation, new business models, and revenue diversification.
- Curious and commercially minded, with a practical approach to innovation (not seeking an accounting type skillset).
