About the Role

Reporting to our GM of Finance, the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will lead our team of Finance Business Partners (5), who play a critical role in supporting senior decision‑making by identifying key financial opportunities and risks. The FP&A team is responsible for future‑focused financial projections (including budgeting and forecasting), performance reporting and oversight of the monthly P&L, financial modelling to support strategic planning, project reporting and investment appraisal. This work spans both departmental and enterprise‑wide priorities. FP&A is a trusted and influential contributor to Sportsbet’s most important commercial decisions. A core focus of this role is to lead, develop and empower the FP&A team, supporting both business outcomes and individual growth, while continuing to evolve systems, processes and ways of working.

What You’ll Do

• Lead end‑to‑end budgeting, forecasting and planning processes, delivering clear and actionable insights to Sportsbet, Flutter International and the Flutter ExCo
• Build and embed a best‑in‑class FP&A capability that supports strategic decision‑making and performance tracking
• Own corporate‑level performance reporting, highlighting trends, risks, opportunities and recommended actions
• Develop and maintain robust financial models, including scenario, sensitivity and ROI analysis to inform investment decisions
• Partner closely with senior leaders across strategy, data and finance to translate complex data into meaningful commercial insights
• Drive the corporate planning process in collaboration with the Strategy team
• Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing FP&A team, building future capability and succession
• Enhance business intelligence, dashboards and self‑service reporting (e.g. Power BI), leveraging AI to move toward real‑time forecasting
• Continuously improve processes, controls and governance to ensure accuracy, efficiency and relevance of financial insights 

Who We’re Looking For

• A customer‑first, commercially minded leader who challenges assumptions and seeks better ways of working
• 12+ years’ experience gained in Big 4, consulting, an ASX Top 100 organisation, or in a comparable senior FP&A role within industry
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing high‑performing finance or FP&A teams in complex environments
• Strong executive‑level capability, with experience producing and presenting clear, influential reports and insights
• Deep expertise in financial modelling, forecasting and performance analysis
• Highly developed analytical skills, with the ability to draw insights and influence decisions using evidence‑based recommendations
• A trusted business partner, comfortable collaborating with senior leaders and cross‑functional stakeholders
• A confident and thoughtful communicator who can translate complex information for diverse audiences
• Organised, adaptable and resilient, able to prioritise effectively and perform under pressure
• A positive change leader with a growth mindset and a passion for learning and developing others
• Strong attention to detail, accountability and a collaborative, team‑first approach
• Curious and open to experimenting with AI and new tools to improve efficiency and insight
