About The Role

Reporting into the Platform Reliability Manager, you will be part of a dedicated group responsible for ensuring the tooling used by our engineering team are always leading edge.  Key focus areas being Github, Backstage, AWS and API development.

You’re qualified and experienced in all things Github, AWS, AI and automation. More than that, you have and want to stay at the forefront of development practices. Your passion will keep Sportsbet at the forefront of development best practices and the use of AI to achieve this.  You embrace AI in engineering and enjoy applying it for wider benefits.

Responsibilities Include:

• Ensure solutions perform at their optimum levels.
• Help engineers to become self-sufficient in Github.
• Provide leading edge automation solutions for the wider engineering teams.
• Stay abreast of the ever-evolving security landscape and ensure deployed solutions remain secure.
• Translate new security requirements into tooling patterns for our Engineers to use.
• Stay abreast with current opportunities to enhance our cloud offering particularly in the API development space.

About You

While we are big on development and offer on the job training, we want to set you up for success. Along with a great attitude, it would be ideal that you have:

• A customer first attitude and constantly strives to improve customers’ experience.
• Ability to develop code to automate all things AWS.
• Proven experience in Github.
• Some exposure to AI and how it applies to development practices.
• Proficiency in Python and TypeScript
• Strong hands-on experience with key AWS Services.
